ASRS v1.1 6-Question Screener

The free ADHD test uses the ASRS v1.1 6-Question Screener, developed by the World Health Organization and the Workgroup of Harvard Medical School / NYU Langone. It is used here for educational self-screening with attribution, in accordance with its published terms. The questions, response options, and scoring rules are not modified (electronic formatting only). The ASRS-6 is a screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument.

Supplemental questions

The supplemental (follow-up) questions are self-authored by FreeADHD.com. They cover life context, daily impact, sleep, stress, and history. They are educational context questions, not clinical diagnostic items, and do not copy ASRS, DSM, or other copyrighted clinical instruments.

AI report

The personalized report is generated by an AI model that explains your structured, self-reported answers. The AI is instructed to use cautious language, to avoid diagnosing, and to avoid recommending medication. The report is educational content reviewed for structure, not a clinical document.
